About the Craig
Residence …
One
of the most noted residential designs of renowned Canadian
master architect Arthur Erickson offered to the market for the
very first time. The
home commands a panoramic lake view and is privately set on a
1.1 acre site with 200 feet of waterfront in Kelowna’s
Okanagan Mission. Composed
of two pavilions connected by a sky lit atrium, the main
residence is approximately 2,350 square feet. The pavilions are set low on a platform cut into the bank
with the resulting formation of winter courtyards to the South
and summer terraces to the North. |
Another terrace or bridge connects the kitchen and living
room to the opposite bank of a small ravine.
The master suite is also a feature of the main level
design.
A complete
self-contained guest suite is also located on the lower level
and
also affords access to the grounds and a gorgeous view of the
lake and mountains. A
beach level terrace provides access to the self-contained
guesthouse, constructed in the same site integrated
architectural theme as the main residence, and also the pile
driven wharf and boat lift.
Wherever possible, the natural surroundings have been left
untampered, but where appropriate, embellished with decorative
flower beds and gardens. |
